Alice clapped her hands together and said cheerily, "Alright, time for lunch!"
"Sweeeet!" Leo said, going for the door.
I grabbed his collar and said, "Not for you, Dumbass. For the kids."
"Oh..." Leo said, hanging his head sadly.
As the kids went out to their cubbies to get their lunches, Emmet tapped Lunkwill's shoulder.
Lunkwill turned around, "Oh, it's you."
Emmet nodded and said, "Hey, I uh... I noticed you looking at my friend, Bailey."
Lunkwill's face turned red and he said, "Oh, w-was I?"
"Yeah." Emmet said, "I just wanted to... Warn you. About Bailey."
"Huh?" Lunkwill said, confused.
"Despite her angelic appearance, she can be a little...." Emmet said, wringing his hands, "Short tempered."
Lunkwill furrowed his eyebrows and said, "What?"
Emmet uneasily looked across the room at Bailey and said to Lunkwill, "I dunno, I just... I'd be careful with her. She's not really into guys."
Lunkwill raised an eyebrow and said, "She's a lesbian?"
Emmet gritted his teeth and said, "Forget it. Go ahead, be in love with her."
Lunkwill smiled stupidly and gazed at Bailey.
"But I'm telling you," Emmet said, nodding for effect, "She'll break your heart."
Lunkwill glanced at Emmet and said, "You sound like you're saying that based off experience."
Emmet's eyes widened and stuttered, blushing, "Uh, d-don't be ridiculous. She's my friend... And plus, she's nuts..."
Emmet probably continued talking, but Lunkwill wasn't listening. He gazed at Bailey, watching her long, black hair fall perfectly over her shoulders as she turned her head...
Oh my God, she's looking at me. Lunkwill thought. His eyes got wide, Oh God. She's COMING TOWARD ME!!!
"Three, two, one..." Emmet sighed.
Lunkwill stared wide-eyed at Bailey, the angelic beauty who was walking up to him.
Bailey crossed her arms across her chest and her voice echoed through Lunkwill's head when she spoke.
"Excuse me?"
Lunkwill laughed dopily and said, "Whaaat?"
"I'd just like to say that it's rude to stare and I would really appreciate it if you would leave me alone." Bailey said.
Lunkwill's face fell and he watched the most beautiful girl he had ever seen walk away.
Emmet patted Lunkwill's shoulder and said, "What did I tell you? She's a heartbreaker."
"She just..." Lunkwill said, "She turned me down before I even tried to talk to her!"
"I told you. Bailey's like that." Emmet said, "Sorry, man, it's the truth."
Emmet walked off, leaving Lunkwill standing by himself.
